The Vatican Museum portal |
Visit the Vatican city with Chris the Guide avoiding the long lines!
A three-hour walk to explore the Vatican Museums, one of the largest and most beautiful museums of the world. More than 2000 rooms, thousands of masterpieces of art and devotion created by the great masters of the past, from the glorious ancient Roman artists to the great "giants" of Renaissance and Baroque art. We will visit the Pine Courtyard, the Gallery of the Maps, the Renaissance Papal Apartments (frescoed by Raphael and Pinturicchio) and finally the breathtaking Sistine Chapel (decorated by Michelangelo and many others). After visiting the museums, through a private exit reserved to the official licensed tour guides, we will bring you to St. Peter Basilica, the immortal symbol of the entire Catholic Church.
Art, history, religion, devotion, politics, love… the complete
history of the Roman Church in a three-hour walk.
Duration: 3 hours
Tour available every day (except Sundays) both AM and
PM (plus Friday evenings at 7 or 8 PM from May to October, August excluded)
Christiaan was amazing! He provided a excellent theological history, art history and secural history that assisted us to gain a very broad understanding of the Vatican, the role of the Catholic church in Italian history and the role of the artists who contribute to the beauty of the vatican. Christiann was engaging, kept our whole group enthralled and captivated for the whole three hours. We could easily have stayed and listened to him for another 3 hours. Christiaan was passionate about the Vatican and it's history. He provided information to present many perspectives of this history which was really appreciated. Previously we thought we had an understanding on what the Vatican was about, however we now have a deeper appreciation of not just what the Vatican means to Catholics but how it has contributed to our history as a people. I would personally recommend Christiaan to anyone - he is brilliant, entertaining, well informed, passionate and personable. Thanks for an awesome tour Christiaan!

Thanks Patrick, it has been a pleasure to gude you all
DeleteI found Chistriaan to be a wonderful guide! He was so interesting and knowledgeable - I was impressed to find out he had studied Theology as well. He had such an insight into the artists, Catholic Church and history that I felt we only skimmed the surface of his repertoire. I'm very happy we booked this tour and was very impressed with our guide, Christiaan. Thank you!!!!

Amazing building, that's for sure! Congrats!
ReplyDeleteThe tour was excellent. Christiaan was very knowledgeable about all aspects of the Vatican. He choose to go through the Pope's apartments rather than the museum itself. It was a great choice. He explained all of the frescoes we saw and discussed the Sistine Chapel before we went in. This is the only good way to see the Vatican.

The best guide, ever, and we've had quite a few! A really nice afternoon and well planned visit, clear explanations and funny comments, over 3 hours and not a single second boring.
ReplyDeleteFrom the very start of our visit to the Vatican, Christiaan entertained us with information and humour to make things interesting and memorable. It felt we were the only ones he had given the tour to even though he must have done this hundreds of times. I'm not one for crowds but Christiaan made the visit an absolute pleasure. Thanks again.
ReplyDeletemagnificent post, very informative. I wonder why the opposite experts of this sector do not understand this. You should proceed your writing. I am confident, you have a huge readers' base already! yahoo login mail
ReplyDeleteChristian is a very impressive scholar. He is well versed in philosophy, theology, and of course he is able to explain it all through the eyes of an artist. We were most impressed with him ! Bravo !
ReplyDeleteChristiaan was funny, informative, honest, and sensitive. Seriously, we are so glad he was our tour guide and would totally do another tour with him.
